Matt Zien

Matt Zien is a filmmaker and executive producer working at the intersection of cinema and technology. With 15 years in premium nonfiction, he was the founding creative executive and SVP of Development at The Intellectual Property Corporation, developing/producing Emmy-winning television through the company's $350M acquisition by Sony Pictures Television. As the founder of KNGMKR Labs, Zien has since established himself as a pioneer in AI-native filmmaking, with work receiving tens of millions of views and winning international awards across Europe, Asia, and the United States. He is the co-creator of The Tutorial with Grimes, a series about using AI in the creative process (currently in production), and his most recent feature doc, Slauson Rec, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2025. Matt has been a keynote speaker at Microsoft MLADS and Artist and the Machine on AI and creativity, and is currently in production on multiple AI-assisted series with major networks.
