Panathēnea co-founder Lars Rasmussen is an angel investor in Athens, Greece with a computer science Ph.D. from UC Berkeley. In 2004, Lars and his brother Jens sold their mapping startup to Google, and there lead the team that created Google Maps. Lars was next a director of engineering at Facebook in Menlo Park and London. His favorite investments include Canva, Astranis, Neara, PhosPrint and ResQ biotech. He enjoys boating the Greek islands, kite surfing, and coffee.
